WiLD Community Expectations

As we come together with leaders from a variety of contexts on a regular basis, we always want to reinforce our purpose of each session: to learn and to edit together. Below are our Rules of Engagement that we discuss at the beginning of every session we do. These are expectations for us and every member of our community.

We appreciate your willingness to learn and edit with us as we move towards whole + intentional leader development together.

This is Not a Test.

This is not a test and we want you to bring your questions. We are not looking for specific answers. We are more about the questions - asking questions and sitting with questions, not fishing for a “correct” answer or always needing a resolve. Sometimes the most meaningful and necessary moments are from listening and being still.

Also, in sessions when using the WiLD Toolkit we always say, “These are tools not tests, we use them we don’t take them.” Keep this in mind as we use the WiLD Toolkit and your personalized Feedback Reports.

Come Ready to Learn + Edit.

We know that we will not be for everyone. Our goal is to bring together a community of leaders from across contexts committed to a deeper examination of our personal motivations, attitudes and behaviors impacting every person within our influence. Our sessions are always a whole and intentional integration of psychological science, our experiential context, and our deeper faith and humanity. Each leader must bring a willingness to learn and edit to every session.

Practice Contextual Awareness.

We are all bringing our whole stories to every session. We come from different backgrounds, specialize in different areas of work, we’re passionate about different causes, and bring our own worldview and spiritual beliefs and experiences with us as well. As you bring your whole self to these intentional development opportunities, please be respectful and aware of the variety of contexts the leaders around you are also coming from.

Connect to the WiLD Community.

There are always amazing leaders in our sessions and the breakout group opportunities can go by quick - we do not give contact information for those on the call out to others, when you sign up your contact information is kept confidential with us, but feel free to connect with others on LinkedIn or ask for someone’s email address before the session is over.

Engage + Minimize Distractions.

These are always interactive sessions. Whether virtual or face to face, prepare to be fully present. For us it often means putting our phones on do not disturb or letting others in the home or office know that we will be participating in a session and need to be as present as possible.

For all virtual sessions: As often as you can, plan to have you video on for the majority (or all) of our time together in each session. It helps us connect with you when we can see you, and it is meaningful in the breakout groups for others to see the people they are sharing with. And always stay muted in main session and then be prepared to be unmuted in your breakout sessions so you can share your experiences and ask questions to those in your group.

Invite Those Aspiring to Wholeness.

Who do you know who should be a part of the WiLD Community? We are a group of leaders in process who are aspiring towards wholeness together. We bring together leaders from a variety of backgrounds and contexts, some who are experts by merit of degrees and some who have experienced more than we can imagine. But the common factor is this: Leaders with a willingness to learn and edit and an aspiration of becoming whole. Think of the person you know who needs these conversations and this community and invite them in.
